Who are we?
Short version: we needed this and it didn't exist.
How it started
LIC is where people from all over the world meet in Lima. It's not a club, not an app, not a 2015 Facebook group. It's real people getting together to do real things — play football, travel, go out, eat, meet each other.
In 2025, a group of people got tired of there being no real community for internationals in Lima. Not an app, not a dead group — something where people actually show up. What started with a football match is now a community of 300+ people from 20+ countries. And we're just getting started.
Doesn't matter if you landed yesterday or you've been here for years. If you're looking for your crew in Lima, you probably just found it.
How we got here
First game
8 people from 5 countries at Costa Verde. It all started there.
100 members
First organized night out. First group trip to Ica.
200 members
20+ countries represented. Volunteer team formed.
300+ members
Trips to Cajamarca, Cusco, Ayacucho. Something every week.
Road to NGO
Formalizing the organization. Partnerships with universities and embassies.
Mission
Make Lima the most welcoming city in South America for anyone coming from abroad.
Vision
That nobody who arrives in Lima feels alone. That everyone has a group from day one.

Real community
We don't collect members. We build friendships that last longer than a semester.
Everyone's in
Peruvian, French, Korean, doesn't matter. If you want to be here, you're part of it.
Actual diversity
20+ countries in a football match. You can't fake that.
Less talk, more action
Every week something's happening. Football Tuesdays and Thursdays, hangouts on weekends. We don't plan — we do.
